Lower St.

The lower Saint is flowing at 32cms right now (Oct 12th). This means everyone should jumpon it for one last go. If it is still flowing, Nathan and I are talking about early Friday afternoon. Perhaps meeting at 2:00 or so at the Put in.

Hey Chris,
I am planning on taking my stuff with me to Magrath tomorrow. 2 o'clock at put in sounds good, but I need directions (or I could just meet you at the highway turn off). Max Low might be interested in going as well. As soon as we are sure on the plans, I will talk to him.

I was planning on going for Friday afternoon, but have a nasty cold as of last night. Have a good paddle. Please post how it goes!

any saturday noon - 1pm ish departures? I have never run the lower saint so I'd love to have someone who knows the ins & outs with me for the first time through. we should also call the dam operator to ensure there will still be flow then. I wouldn't want to be on it when they shut of the dam & it goes down to 4 CMS LOL

(also, how do I create my name - user account here? the only way I can figure to post is via 'anonymous')

Glad to hear you figured it out. You have to create a blog, whether or not you ever plan on using it.

Keep checking, I know Linda from Calgary is hoping to go Sat.

Nathan, lets meet on the hill by the widmills south of magrath. there are a couple of side roads that take off to the west. I can't remember the exact one for the put in, so look for my green car along the side of the road there.

Glad you made it out con. Blair Goats is a Lethbridge pontoon paddler that loves to get out. His email is bgoates at shaw.ca I am guessing he would be up for a run. You guys could certainly try the lower Saint. Just have a good look at run no run, and plan on portaging Hairpin.
