looks like Castle is about half way to a low flow, but runnable around 20 cms. (intermediate river with mainly class II, a few Class III, and one Class IV) Also It looks like Two medicine in Montana is getting high-ish (all class II except one 20 foot waterfall Class V). Its a new table site so I hope I am reading it right, but it looks like its reading just under 12,000 cfs. Any interest in these for when the flow is better?
Castle looks low, the Oldman is too low. Elk (lower was good two weeks ago, already too high for the upper and upper-lower, for a first time at least...)and Bull start to be good, can't wait to see that. ou probably read wrong because it's supposed to be low at 700cfs and high at 1,200cfs... what's the link to the flow?
shoot Chris I have plans to be in Calgary, but with all this snow its probably slowed the melting time of the snow. BUT at least there is more snow to melt!!! if you go somewhere Chris let us know what it was like!
Oh it looks like Castle River is LOW but runnable (20 cms). Also Belly River is showing its running pretty good! Chris you mentioned that snow effects the readings, so could you check and see if Belly is really flowing like it says (19 cms) when you go to Waterton?
Will do. If it doesn't warm up much, I am not sure it will be flowing too much - but I will look. Lee creek had much more water in it than I expected today (Thur)
When I looked at the Belly Friday night it seemed good. I don't think any ice will be affecting readings now. However, with the snow, I am going to pass.
K so here is the plan so far!!! Tomorrow (Thursday) we are planning to leave Lethbridge NO LATER than 5 p.m. We will meet at the south end of the Costco parking lot to arrange car pools! It's either going to be Upper St. Mary's or the Belly River from Wests down to the old oak bridge. Any one else in!!!?
I'm in, the only thing is that I don't have a car, but I live very close to Costco, so maybe we can meet at my place (college, old res, unit 104 (south end of the res))
whats your number? or where can I meet you? my cell phone is 403-894-7773. I get off work at 4pm and I will be rushing to get stuff for costco but I can pick you up!!! CALL ME!!!
wasn't able to make it out to Castle area. we didn't have anyone join us for a second shuttle, so had to bail on the idea. But hope to hit more rivers soon!!! I will be gone to Utah this weekend so next week I will be back a ready to go HARD!!!

I may be up for a paddle on Sat. as I will be in Waterton for the weekend.
Not sure what to run though. BigFork may be a bit far away, and the Elk isn't my cup of tea.
