I am planning a trip next Sat. April 10. I am thinking of a begginer intermediate like the upper canyon of the middle fork of flathead or the lower elk if it is still low.

chris... long time no talk to! I tried calling you and had the wrong number. call or text my cell (403-894-7773) so I got your number! But I think there could be a few of us wanting to paddle this weekend for sure!!! I was hoping to possibly camp and paddle as an option this weekend as well!

Janson, i did get one message but probably lost it in the to do's with the new baby. 894-2499.

I really like the middle fork, especially since it is a fair bit closer and more friendly for new paddlers. For a weekend camp it is not as nice though.

I don't know if I would say ...nice. The lowest I have done it is about 1200 and we had to walk in a place or two.

Actually had a very nice day on the Mofo. Driving through the new snow near East Glacier in the morning made us think twice (-3c, 4"), however, the lower run was pretty warm and sunny with no snow. The flow of 1000cfs made the run class II, but there was enough flow to never have to push or walk. Good early season run, and there were quite a few small waves throughout. A good strong beginner/intermediate run during the early season.

Serrano's, the East Glacier mexican restaurant is closed right now until the tourist season starts.
