Looks like they shut off the diversion to the Milk River (?). Hope someone gets out to paddle this weekend - we're off to Fernie for turkey.

We also noted the $5M donation from Rinehart Ranches to the Lethbridge Foundation. We'd heard about this with the development of the upper St. Mary put-in - that is/was the adjacent property along the new access road (south/left side).

We went out early evening today on the Upper St., and the paddle was great. The water was up higher than it had been since June. The colors were amazing. The sunset was worth even the freezing cold water. We enjoyed it so much that we are going to try for another run on Monday. Anybody is welcome. Happy Thanksgiving to those who don't make. Those who do make it will undoubtedly have a Happy one.

Hey paddlers,
Givin' up hope? The upper is still higher than it was for most of the summer. Lots of good paddlin'. We will be leaving from Cardston around 9 am on Thanksgiving (monday). My place is the white house (basement suite)kiddy-corner of the south west corner of the temple. You'll see some kayaks in a truck out front. Hope to see you there. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Anyone interested in a short run on the Lower St. today... maybe late afternoon? I'm not entirely sure I can go yet, but lets discuss.

The level is about 24 cms. I have run it around 15 cms.

Hi,
I'm very interested in going to the St Mary any weekend. I wanted to go on the holiday Monday but didn't have internet. Darn. If you're planning a run then we'll plan a visit to Lethbridge to see the relatives. Please e-mail me the details and I'd love to join anyone who knows that river.
Thanks!

Monday was another fantastic trip down the Upper Saint. Water levels were still up but had receded over the weekend. Who knows how long it will last. If the levels are 15 or above by Saturday (possibly Friday afternoon), another Cardston group will be going. If anyone is interested, you know the drill.

The Lower St. is really at a decent level... 30 cms. Good opportunity for your closest class II-III to Lethbridge. Perhaps a late afternoon run this week is in order.

Hi,
I'm in this weekend then if any of you are going. Sorry Nathan I made a mistake on the gauge (I gave you the lower #). I would prefer to go on the lower but will go on the upper if there is no one else to go with me. I paddle the upper kan very comfortably.
Thanks!

No problem, Linda. It sounds like there might just be a Lower St. trip going on this weekend anywho (Friday hopefully). I'm working things out with Chris, so keep posted on the Lower St. posting that Chris just posted. I still may try for a Saturday Upper trip with my brothers if the flows are still up.

Nathan, can we go on the lowre on Saturday? Are you able to take me down? If not that's ok, I was just wondering.

Linda:
I will hopefully be going down Lower St Friday with Chris and whoever else is up for it. This will be my first time. If flow is still good for Saturday and my brothers are up for it, we can do Lower Saturday; however, if they only wanna do Upper, that's what I will be doing. I'll work on convincing them.
